An award winning Landmark Country Inn,
Restaurant & Conference Center
The project consisted of the modernization, period
restoration of, and an addition to a
100+ year old stone structure, the former Axe Castle (circa 1897).
The scope
of work comprised selective and extensive demolition to allow
for:
- installation
of all new MEPS and telecommunication systems
- installation of elevators for service and public use
- conversion of all entries to handicap accessible
- installation of new, state of the art
restaurant, banquet and pastry
kitchens; all other related facilities
- restructuring of various floors to allow for the construction
of luxury suites Future.
All work was performed while carefully preserving and replicating the unique
architectural features of the Axe Castle.
